Wind and rain north-west France

Sunday
Lots of dry weather for south-western Europe, with sunshine for Spain and Portugal, much of the Mediterranean and France. Temperatures topping 35C in southern Spain and France, although nearer 25C in the Biscay coast. Windy and cool for north-west France with some rain associated with a cold front, 19C here.
Slack pressure and light winds for central Europe. A fair day for Germany, highs 27 to 30C. Scattered afternoon showers for the Alps and Balkans, plus southern Italy and Greece, but plenty of sunshine too. Hot and dry in Hungary, up to 34C. Thunderstorms for Poland, western Ukraine and northern Romania, also central Scandinavia. Improving across southern Norway and Sweden. Hot around the Baltic, topping 30C.

Monday
A weak cold front brings showers to northern France and the far north-west of Iberia, but much of Spain, Portugal and France will be hot, sunny and dry. Local thunderstorms for the western Alps and northern Italy, plus inland parts of the Baltic. Thunderstorms may be more organised for the mountains of Romania and into Slovakia. Largely dry and sunny across the Mediterranean, including southern Italy and Greece .
A front lies across the Low Countries, producing cloudy skies and outbreaks of rain, some heavier showers. Most of Germany will be dry and sunny. Scattered thunderstorms for Poland, the Baltic states and northern Sweden. Patchy rain moves into south-west Norway, but much of Norway and southern Sweden will be dry.
