Showers across E Europe but very warm

Today
It continues hot, dry and sunny across Spain and Portugal. Warm and sunny into France. Cloudy with rain across Britain and Belgium with showers, some heavy across Denmark, northern Germany and western Poland. A band of rain lies from eastern Finland, The Baltic States and across eastern Poland. Fine across the Adriatic Region today. Heavy showers and thunderstorms are forecast Romania and Bulgaria. Mainly dry and sunny for Italy, Greece and Turkey with the odd late shower. Heavy showers to affect Norway, Denmark and Sweden today. Sunny and dry across Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic. Strong east winds will prevail through the Straits of Gibraltar and windy across southern France. Fine, summery conditions are forecast across the Mediterranean Region.

Tuesday
Very hot and sunny across Spain with temperatures above 40 Celsius. Very warm and sunny across Portugal into France. Long sunny spells are expected across England, into Belgium, Holland, Denmark and across into Germany. It gets warmer heading further east into Poland, The Baltic States with a risk of showers. Heavy, frequent and thundery showers are forecast for Romania, Bulgaria and Greece. Most of Turkey will be dry except for a few isolated showers. Lots of warm sunshine will be on offer across the Adriatic Region, Austria, Switzerland, The Czech Republic and Hungary. Hot and sunny across Italy today. Showers will affect parts of Finland with Sweden and Norway sunny and dry. Those strong east winds will persist through the Straits of Gibraltar and it will also become quite windy through the Adriatic Sea.
