Mostly fair Mediterranean and northern Europe, showers central and eastern areas


Tuesday
It continues hot, dry and sunny across Spain and Portugal and also into France. Scattered, heavy showers with thunderstorms develop across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Heavy showers are expected across western Norway but dry in the east. Lots of dry, sunny weather to come across Sweden. A few showers across parts of Poland but mainly dry.
More heavy, thundery showers to affect Finland and The Baltic States while heavy rain affects Russia. Fine, sunny and hot across The Czech Republic, Belarus, The Ukraine, and across much of the Balkans and the Adriatic Region. Very warm, summery conditions are forecast for Greece, Italy, Turkey and Slovenia. Plenty of sunshine to come the Adriatic Region into Turkey and northern Italy.
It remains rather windy across the Aegean but less windy through the Straits of Gibraltar and. A windy day as well across Sweden.

Wednesday
A fair day in Spain and Portugal today. Fine too for the Balearics and for most of Italy, although there will be some showers in central areas. Greece and Turkey stay dry with further spells of sunshine throughout the day.
Cloudier skies and showers affecting much of France, the showers heavy at times. Fair for the Low Countries with sunny spells. Germany should be dry with more sunny spells. Fine for southern Poland, but showers or rain to the north. Austria and Hungary will be dry with sunny spells, although heavy and thundery showers in Switzerland.
Denmark and Norway should have a fine day with good spells of sunshine. Low pressure bringing some rain and showers into eastern Sweden. The Baltic States will be more unsettled with rain and showers as well as stronger winds. Breezy for Finland with sunny spells and a few showers.
