Central torrential thunderstorms, mostly fair Scandinavia and Mediterranean

Some cloud around over Portugal but with sunny spells too. Bright with sunny periods for Spain. Increasingly cloudy over France, some showers in northeast. Rain and strengthening winds spreading east over the British Isles. Heavy showers for the Low Countries. Afternoon heavy showers for Germany and Poland. A few afternoon shower for Denmark, Norway and Sweden but also sunny spells. Dry bright morning for Finland, the Baltic States, Belarus and Ukraine, but expect occasional heavy showers in the afternoon.
Afternoon heavy and possibly thundery showers for Switzerland, Austria, Czechia, Hungary and Slovakia. Same conditions over Romania and the Balkans.
Sunny and dry for the Balearics, Sardinia and Corsica. Afternoon heavy showers for Italy, and some over Greece with the risk of thunder. Thunderstorms for eastern Turkey, but drier brighter elsewhere. Dry and sunny for Cyprus.

Sunday
Some showers across northern Spain on Sunday. For most of the country though the day will be fine with good spells of sunshine. Staying fine through Portugal too. A fair and warm day in the central Mediterranean although a few afternoon showers may affect high ground in the southern half of Italy. Scattered showers in western Greece too, but fair in the east. Turkey will be mostly fine although some afternoon showers.
For France the day will be one of sunny spells and showers. Most showers in northern areas, but some in central parts too. Further showers for the Low Countries and some in central Germany. Poland will have heavy, sometimes thundery showers. Hungary may have a few showers in the west with these extending through Austria and Switzerland.
Heavy showers across southern Norway and the far south of Sweden as well as Denmark. A few showers in the Baltic Staes but fine for Finland. Good weather too in central and northern Sweden as well as for most of Norway.
