Cold across much of Europe this weekend, snow over hills in the west


Saturday
Cold with rain in northern and eastern Spain, the risk of some snow showers in central parts of Spain including Madrid. Dry but cold for Portugal and southern Spain. Cold and wet in the balearics as well as Corisca, but drier in Sardinia although cold. Italy will be breezy with rain in the north and showers in the south. Greece should be dry and warm and it will be remaining fine in Turkey too.
France will be cold with frequent showers and strong winds to the west. Northern and eastern areas tending to see fewer showers. Cold in souther France with rain here. Some wintry showers in the Low Countries and northern Germany. Most of the rest of Germany should be dry with sunny spells. Some cloud and rain in northern Poland but dry to the south. Unsettled with rasin and some early season snow over the hills of Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
Cold and bright in Denmark. Unsettled with wind, rain and some sleet in the Baltic States. Cold and breezy in Finland with some rain and sleet in the south. Wintry showers for eastern Sweden but dry in the west. Cold and showery in western parts of Norway.

Sunday
Cold in Spain and Portugal on Sunday with heavy and frequent showers over the north. Rain may be heavy in eastern Spain and through the Balearics. More rain to come in Corsica and Sardinia. Italy will have showers, some of them heavy. Fine and warm in Greece and Turkey with lots of sunshine.
Cold again in France with frequent showers and some sunny spells. Cold too across the Low Countries and Germany with sunny spells and a scattering of showers. Hungary, Austria and Switzerland will be cold to with a mix of sunshine and showers, some of them heavy.
Windy and cold in Denmark with sunny spells and a few showers. Some of the showers affecting eastern Sweden but overall it should be dry. The Baltic States and Finland will be dry with sunny spells. Norway should be dry with sunshine here.
