Wind and rain spreads across Scandinavia


Tuesday
High pressure influences much of Europe, producing extensive fair weather. Hot in south-western Spain and Portugal, 35 to 38C. Scattered showers or local thunderstorms for the central Med, focused around Sicily and Sardinia.
Dry across central Europe. Warm in southern France, 25 to 28C, but fairly fresh across Low Countries and Germany, 13 to 16C at best, with some early fog patches and ground frost. Sunshine and showers for Poland, the Baltic states and Ukraine, accompanied by a brisk and cool breeze. Temperatures around 20C for the Black Sea coasts. Warm and dry for Greece. Breezy for the Greek Islands.
Low pressure brings wind and rain to western Russia. A west to southwesterly flow across Scandinavia, with rain developing and setting in for western Norway. Dry for Sweden and Finland.


Wednesday
A risk of thunderstorms developing for south-eastern Spain, whilst Portugal stays hot and dry. Widely fair weather for central Europe with a large zone of high pressure in charge. Temperatures into the upper 20s for south-western France. Dry for Italy, whilst thundery rain stays over the sea around Malta. Dry but windy for Greece and the Greek islands. A few showers around the Bosphorus. Light winds for Cyprus.
Lots of sunshine for Alpine areas and countries toward the Black Sea. Some morning fog patches. Around 16 to 19C for Germany and the Low Countries. A few showers for northern Poland. Windy for Denmark and the Baltic states, with a belt of heavy rain passing eastwards. Heavy showers for west and northern Norway. Risk of gales for northern Scandinavia as low pressure moves east.
