Rain for northwest France & Iberia

Wednesday
High pressure extends across northern central Europe with fair weather for the Low Countries, northern Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. A frontal system affects the Biscay coasts, with rain for northwest France, and the northwest of Spain and northern Portugal, some heavy falls. Dry for south and eastern Spain, highs of 25 to 27C.
Areas of rain and mountain snow for the western Alps. Zones of thundery showers for Italy and the central Med, also southern Greece. Dry across eastern Europe, although some rain comes in from the Black Sea for Romania. Largely dry for southern Scandinavia, whilst showers affect north and western Norway with snow over the mountains, to low levels in the north. Some patchy rain around the Baltic.

Thursday
A ridge of high pressure builds across western Iberia, with dry and warm conditions for much of Portugal and southern Spain. A little rain for northern Spain. Slack pressure over France and a slow-moving front brings some heavy rain to central, eastern and southern areas. Thundery downpours possible for Corsica, Sardinia and western Italy. Also wet for mainland Greece and Bulgaria. Drier for the northeast of Italy and the northern Balkans.
High pressure resides over central and eastern Europe, with plenty of dry weather from Germany to Poland and Ukraine, also the eastern Alps into Hungary. Some fog and frost in the morning. Low pressure over Finland takes showery rain eastward across the Baltic states. Dry for much of Sweden and southern Norway, whilst showers affect northern Norway.
