Snow in the Alps. Unsettled through the Mediterranean.


Sunday
Rain continues to affect northwestern and northern parts of Spain as well as western parts of Portugal on Sunday. This turns to snow over the mountains. Dry and fine elsewhere across Iberia. Very heavy rain and thundery downpours spread east across the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily and Italy, reaching the Balkans later. Staying dry and bright ahead of this for eastern Greece and Turkey.
Rather cloudy for France with patchy outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow over western and eastern areas. Mostly cloudy too for the Low Countries and Germany with an area of wintry precipitation arriving from the south over western Germany and Benelux later. Further heavy snowfall is expected over the Alps while Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia remain rather breezy and cloudy. The best of any sun over eastern Poland.
Cloudy for Denmark with patchy rain over northwestern areas. Bright and breezy for the Baltic States. Breezy too for Finland and Sweden with wintry showers spreading northward through the day. Early snow fades over Norway to leave a mostly dry but overcast day here.

Monday
Turning increasingly unsettled across Iberia on Monday with spells of rain pushing right across Spain anad Portugal, heaviest to the north. Brisk westerly winds too. Breezy and generally unsettled across the Balearics as well as across much of western and central parts of Italy and the surrounding islands with outbreaks of rain here. East Italy will see best of any sunny spells and driest of conditions. Thundery downpours have now pushed on and across Greece and into western Turkey, Romania and Ukraine.
Staying rather cloudy across much of France with rain pushing into western areas mainly. Elsehwere should stay largely dry. Wet and cloudy across the Low Countries with some rain across western parts of Germany but largely dry elsewhere here. Rain still affecting the Alpine Countries with snow over the mountains here. Heavy rain initially over the Balkan States but this will quickly ease yet stay cloudy with patchy rain about. Largely dry across Poland.
Rain moves away from any far western areas of Denmark to leave a dry and sunny day here but rather breezy still. Rain for much of Norway and northern parts of Sweden and Finland but dry elsewhere, Dry yet windy through the Baltic States.
