Unsettled conditions for western Europe, staying dry and bright to the east
Outbreaks of rain affect much of Portugal, Spain and the Balearic Islands on Sunday, some of these heavy and thundery. Staying mostly dry for Italy with just the odd shower. Dry and bright for Greece and most of Turkey though cloud builds form the west later.
Low pressure brings outbreaks of rain across much of France, Switzerland, Austria, the Low Countries, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia on Sunday. Again, some of these will be heavy and thundery.
A band of rain, sleet and snow spreads across Sweden and into western Finland later. Ahead of this conditions are dry and bright for the Baltic States. Behind it conditions are bright but showery for much of Norway and Denmark.
A bright start for Spain though rain spreads across Portugal from the southwest to much of Spain. Staying dry and bright to the east and for the Balearic Islands. Patchy outbreaks of rain for northern Italy, staying dry and bright to the south. A dry and mostly bright day too for Greece and Turkey with some broken cloud.
Outbreaks of heavy rain clear to the southeast from France, the Low Countries and Germany with dry but cool conditions following from the northwest. Heavy rain affects Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia. This turns to snow over the Alps.
A band of rain, sleet and snow clears east from Finland and the Baltic States while a cold northerly affects the rest of Scandinavia. This brings brighter conditions but frequent wintry showers to Norway and Sweden. Drier but still cold for Denmark.
