A large area of high pressure resides across Europe, bringing widely dry and quiet weather conditions. Variable amounts of cloud, and some sunshine. Temperatures reaching 19C in southern Spain and Portugal. Cooler for central Europe, only 3 to 5C in Germany and Poland. Risk of a few showers for Greece and Cyprus. Some snow showers for eastern Europe. Some rain and snow for Norway and central Sweden. Remaining very cold for northern Scandinavia.

Thursday
Little overall change, with high pressure in charge and dry weather prevailing across the heart of the continent. Staying warm for Spain and Portugal. Mild in southern France, cooler toward the north and also the Low Countries. Some patchy rain moves across Poland into Ukraine. Showery for western Norway. Staying cold around the Baltic and far north.
