Dry & bright for the western Mediterranean
A mixture of sunshine & showers elsewhere

It will be mainly dry and bright in southwestern Europe over the coming days but there will be an increasing risk of stormier weather further east for Greece and Turkey. Much of western and central Europe will see some good sunny spells and scattered wintry showers. Northern Europe too will see a mixture of good sunny spells and snow showers.


Monday
Monday will see dry and bright weather continuing for Portugal, Spain, the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia. Most of Italy will see a dry and bright day too though some light showers will persist for western coasts. Showers will creep into the Balkans and western parts of Greece too through the day but the rest of Greece and Turkey will have a dry and fine day.
Heavy rain on Monday for northern France, Switzerland, Austria and southern Germany as a trough moves slowly to the south. It will be a wet start to the day for Belgium but the rain will clear to leave a dry and fine day for Benelux. There will be some good sunny spells in northern Germany.
It will be dry but cloudy for Denmark on Monday wile some snowy showers will continue for the Baltics. Cloudy but dry too for southern Finland and Sweden while southwestern Norway will see heavy snowfall pushing in from the North Sea throughout the day.


Tuesday
Tuesday will continue settled in the western Mediterranean though it will be cloudy for much of Portugal and Spain. Dry and fine for the Balearics, Corsica, Sardinia and Italy though there is a risk of a heavy shower for the far south of Italy and Sicily. It will be windy for Greece and western Turkey on Tuesday with heavy rain and snow.
It will be a dry and fine day for much of western Europe on Tuesday. Cloud amounts will build through the day for France, the Low Countries and Germany. Switzerland should see a dry sunny day while western parts of Austria and the Czech Republic will see some scattered snow showers.
Tuesday will be overcast but dry for Denmark and the Baltic States while southern parts of Finland and Sweden will see a mixture of sunny spells and scattered snow showers. The risk of wintry showers will increase as the day progresses. Western Norway will see heavy snowfall to start on Tuesday but this will ease to leave a dry day with some sunny spells.
