A largely dry & settled picture across much of Europe; thunderstorms & heavy rain for Spain
Stormy conditions will continue for Portugal and Spain but will gradually clear from the northeast through the afternoon. Some very heavy bursts of rain are possible for southeastern parts of Spain. Overcast for the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia with the chance of a shower for Majorca and Ibiza. A sunny and mostly dry day for Italy, Greece and Turkey.
A mostly bright and dry day for France on Friday though some afternoon thunderstorms could flare up in the northeast. A sunny and dry day for Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia while there will likely be a flare up of thundery showers in the afternoon for Switzerland and the Alps.
A sunny and dry day for Denmark. A band of cloud will move south over Finland through the morning and into the Baltics through the afternoon but it will remain dry here. Norway and Sweden should see a mostly dry and bright day too away from the far north where there could be some showers.
Thunderstorms, triggering heavy downpours, will persist for southeastern Spain and spread into the Balearics on Saturday. Mostly dry and bright for northwestern Spain and Portugal. A dry day for Italy though cloud will build from the west through the day. Greece and Turkey will largely see a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers.
A rather dull day for France with showers, some of which may be heavy, affecting the southern half of the country. A mostly dry and bright day for Benelux, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Hungary.
Another sunny and dry day for Denmark. A band of rain followed by scattered showers will move southward through the Baltics on Saturday while Finland and Sweden will see a mostly dry and bright day. A band of cloud will move from the west into Norway through the afternoon bringing rain to western coastal regions by the evening.
